This luxury version is excellent off road and comes standard with 2 inches of extra ground clearance over a standard Hiace. It comes with the latest 2.8 litre turbo diesel engine which has more power, more torque and better fuel economy than the previous 3.0 litre engine. The Super GL is considered by Japanese people to be the “Rolls Royce” of Hiaces…. It’s the top model and comes with many luxury features never seen on an Australian delivered Hiace. This one is fully lined and insulated inside from front to rear so it’s quieter, warmer in the cold and cooler in the heat. It comes with a rear heater and rear air conditioner. The suspension spring rates are set for a softer ride than the commercial Hiaces - so these Super GLs have a noticeably softer smoother ride over bumpy roads. The seating is to a higher specification and each front seat has more leg room, greater back support and more adjustability than on a basic DX spec Hiace - this can make a huge difference especially for taller occupants and drivers.

This is a very cool new model to Australia from Japan the 4WD Off-Road TownAce. This one has been done up beautifully and includes a lift kit, brand new off road wheels and tyres. This Townace is very sporty and fun to drive with a 5 speed manual gearbox. The 1.5 litre 4 cylinder engine is gutsy and responsive and strong. The fuel economy is truly amazing at 5-7 litres per 100 kms. The light weight design and constant 4WD drive train makes this a very competent off road car able to drive on beaches and serious off road terrain. This TownAce is a very desirable size too - it’s just right because it’s not too big and it’s easy to Park and manoeuvre. Yet it has a massive cargo space in the rear - ideal for making into a camper or for taking on an off road adventure.
