It comes with the latest 2.8 litre turbo diesel engine which has more power, more torque and better fuel economy than the previous 3.0 litre engine.
The Super GL is considered by Japanese people to be the “Rolls Royce” of Hiaces…. It’s the top model and comes with many luxury features never seen on an Australian delivered Hiace.
This one is fully lined and insulated inside from front to rear so it’s quieter, warmer in the cold and cooler in the heat. It comes with a rear heater and rear air conditioner.
The suspension spring rates are set for a softer ride than the commercial Hiaces - so these Super GLs have a noticeably softer smoother ride over bumpy roads.
The seating is to a higher specification and each front seat has more leg room, greater back support and more adjustability than on a basic DX spec Hiace - this can make a huge difference especially for taller occupants and drivers.

This is a unique larger 4WD Hiace Widebody GL top of the range luxury version with dual rear doors and super comfortable seating for five people.
The Widebody is the cleverly sized Hiace variant that was never sold new by Toyota Australia. It has 30 % more space inside yet is easy to park and It has 30 % more space inside yet is easy to park and manoeuvre. It is 16 cms wider than a standard Hiace at 1880mm wide (same width as an Aussie Commuter) but is the same length as a standard Huace 4600 mm - so she’s easy to park anywhere. It’s a constant 4WD Luxury Version 5 seater with 2 inches of extra ground clearance and 30% more space inside. The Widebody variant is 16 cms wider but the same length as a standard LWB Hiace - so its easy to park anywhere (4.6 m long) (2.1m High also fits in most underground parking).
