4WD Townace small van with massive interior space and seating for 5. This is a proper 4WD with a central diff-locker.
We love the Toyota brand and this is a magnificent practical Toyota product that fills a hole in the Aussie market.
The interior space is big enough to turn into a camper. and its big enough for most tradies with a 700KG payload.
The 4WD system is excellent with a push-button centre diff locker - ideal for beach fishing or off road tracks. But also a brilliant city car. It has an amazing tight turning circle and is super easy to park anywhere. This a short vehicle measuring only 4,065 mm - so its super easy to park anywhere. The clever design with the engine under the seats and a shorter nose (i.e. no wasted long bonnet and engine out the front) means ALL of the space tip to tail is usable space. Parking has never been easier with tight spaces normally only for very small cars being accessible to this larger Townace.
The Toyota design philosophy of "Less is More" applies very well to these Townaces as they are a simple utilitarian vehicles with no gimmicky features.
The engine is also a case of "enough to get the job done efficiently and reliably" - The Townace comes with a robust 1.5 litre twin cam 4 cylinder petrol engine - the classic 4 cylinder design that Toyota has built its reputation on for the last 50 years. Fuel economy is excellent and highway performance is all there with enough to sit on the speed limit very comfortably.
This one comes with: - Radar safety braking safety system - Traction control - Reverse camera - Dual airbags

The 4WD Townace is the Baby Hiace that goes off- road - but it still has a huge cargo area, can carry 750 kgs and can seat 5 people..
We love it bevause it comes with a 4 cylinder petrol engine from Toyota that is strong, torquey and built to last and at the same time it sips fuel returning 6-7 litres per 100 kms. It achieves comfortable highway speeds with ease and is big enough to sleep in. It makes an ideal small camper with dual door side access and a decent internal floor to ceiling roof height.
The constant 4WD or All Wheel drive system is similar in design to the Hiace, RAV4 and Kluger and has excellent off road capability.

This is a very cool new model to Australia from Japan the 4WD Off-Road TownAce. This one has been done up beautifully and includes a lift kit, brand new off road wheels and tyres. This Townace is very sporty and fun to drive with a 5 speed manual gearbox. The 1.5 litre 4 cylinder engine is gutsy and responsive and strong. The fuel economy is truly amazing at 5-7 litres per 100 kms. The light weight design and constant 4WD drive train makes this a very competent off road car able to drive on beaches and serious off road terrain. This TownAce is a very desirable size too - it’s just right because it’s not too big and it’s easy to Park and manoeuvre. Yet it has a massive cargo space in the rear - ideal for making into a camper or for taking on an off road adventure.
